Nude Actresses and Beheadings: More Information Than We Need to Know?

Over the past couple of days, the Internet has been awash with articles concerning the beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff by ISIS and the apparent hacking of individual iCloud accounts. Images of the decapitation are freely available. Similarly, intimate photographs of some of Hollywood's most beautiful actresses are also just a mouse click away.

Sotloff's murder, like that of Foley before him? If only Obama could be forced to view these videos before every future round of golf he plays as president. I am sure it would cure him of his habit.

Do you recall Obama's 2009 "A New Beginning" speech in Cairo?:

"So let there be no doubt: Islam is a part of America. And I believe that America holds within her the truth that regardless of race, religion, or station in life, all of us share common aspirations -- to live in peace and security; to get an education and to work with dignity; to love our families, our communities, and our God. These things we share. This is the hope of all humanity."

If Obama were to repeat these same words in Washington in 2014, I would be curious to observe the reaction of the American people.

The hacking of the actresses' iCloud accounts? I never believed cloud storage was secure. But be that as it may, I do not understand why these actresses took these pictures. Sure, they never thought the photos would see the light of day, but what was the underlying motivation?

What I would give for two years, two months and two days in a cabin beside Walden Pond (quite honestly, I would not object to visits from Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton), but the devil only knows what I would find at the conclusion of this much needed respite.
